Are All Email List Subscribers Valuable?

A big question that I see come up on forums and social media is how much are email list subscribers worth? How much can you expect to get each month from your email list. What are reasonable expectations?

I did a little searching, and what I found is that there is no guarantee that you are going to make a set amount each month. The figure that is most commonly quoted is around $1 per subscriber per month.

There are marketers reporting that they are getting far less, and some are getting a lot more. Despite the fact that there is no way to count on how much you are going to make from your email list, it makes sense that having and adding subscribers to your list is a good idea.

In Build A Super Responsive List From Scratch, you discover that how you get your subscribers and how you treat them has a lot to do with how much you are going to make each month.

The idea of a responsive email list isn’t new, and you want your subscribers to be responsive. You want them to respond by opening and reading your email when it hits their inbox.

You want them to respond by asking questions and responding to surveys. You want them to click on the links to your offers, see the sales page, and make a purchase.

Get The Best Subscribers

These days, it is recommended that you offer an incentive to get people to subscribe to your email list. To get the incentive, they have to join your list.

This gives you the opportunity to show them that you have good information, and that they will benefit from opening and reading your messages.

You have to be careful though.

If you give a big incentive, like a free membership or free software – something that they would otherwise have to buy – you could end up with a lot of subscribers whose only motivation was to get the incentive. Not to have more email in their inbox.

Your email messages will be ignored or deleted on sight. If you’re lucky, they’ll unsubscribe. If not, you end up paying your email service provider to send out emails to useless addresses, potentially increasing your costs.

No Freebie Seekers Allowed

To get better results, offer an incentive that is closely related to your business and the products you’re selling

. You want a group of subscribers who are interested in what you are sending them. If the incentive doesn’t mesh with the emails you send them after they subscribe, they will lose interest.

Keep Them Reading

Responsive subscribers get that way over time. As they start reading your messages and clicking on your links, they get to know you.

This is your opportunity to let your personality and style come through. If appropriate, tell them about some of the things that are going on in your life. Tell funny stories about things you seen or that have happened to you.

As you do this, they’ll get to get a better sense of who you are, and you may start getting feedback from your subscribers.

They may want to comment on your email messages and start a conversation. They may have questions about an offer, or about a topic that you covered in a previous message.

In fact, you can keep your subscribers interested and responsive by letting them know that if they have any questions, they can contact you. And that you will answer them.

You won’t have to spend a lot of time on this. You’re having a conversation with your email  list member, not spending answering complex questions that go beyond a simple email.

When this situation comes up, you can point them to a product or service that you have that will help them out. No hard sell, just a way for them to solve their problem or answer their question.

Your responsive list is your source of reliable traffic. Every time you send out an offer, you know how many subscribers are going to get the message.

Take care of your subscribers and customers, and you can’t go wrong.

A wise man once said "If you build a responsive email list and treat that list with respect, and help your subscribers whenever you can, you'll never have to worry about making money online ever again. It's your golden ticket - the most valuable asset in your entire online business." Learn for yourself here...
